THE CHARACTERS: Al "Scarface" Capone; George "Buggsy" Moran (they don't call him Buggsy for nuthin'); Frank "The Enforcer" Nitti; "Greasy Thumb" Jake Guzek; Machine Gun Jack McGurn; The Blonde Alibi" - McGurn's girlfriend; and various sleazy gun moll types (that can dance!)

ABOUT LARRY KERCHNER
Larry Kerchner is an established composer, arranger, and producer, who currently resides in Wilmington, Delaware. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Larry is a two-time Grammy Award nominee, an Individual Artist Fellowship recipient, and a featured composer in numerous ASCAP Songwriters’ Showcases.
Mr. Kerchner has been involved with many television, theater and film projects, including the Tonight Show, The Wiz, and Somewhere In Time, as well as commercials for McDonald’s, Coke, 7-Up, among many others. He has been an arranger, composer, producer and keyboardist for many artists and has worked with leading personalities such as Don Rickles, Doc Severinsen, Laurel Massé, and the late Mel Tormé. His dozens of commissions include writing “Children of the World” for the 2nd Inauguration of President Bill Clinton and “Heroes and Dreamers” for Hillary Rodham Clinton. For many years, Larry also wrote the music for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
He has over 300 published compositions and arrangements and has served as composer and arranger for more than 60 Colleges and Universities, as well as more than 130 Drum and Bugle Corps in the United States, Canada, China, Great Britain, Holland, Taiwan and Japan. His Jazz Band arrangement of “Birdland” is one of the top-selling charts in the world of publishing.
Larry has performed, composed, and arranged for Stage and Nightclubs, Arena Shows, Concerts, Theaters, Films, TV and Radio Commercials, Symphony Halls, the Russian Ballet, and the Washington Symphony and Chorus. He’s composed, arranged, or produced many recordings, such as “The Girl Can’t Quit!,” “Larry Kerchner’s Signature Series,” “Magic Up Our Sleeve,” “Look Out, Texas!,” and the gospel album, "Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way." He composed and produced the Kwanzaa anthem, "Happy Kwanzaa!"
In addition to his many professional activities, Larry produces, rehearses, directs and accompanies countless productions at his children’s school . . . then "cleans up and stacks the chairs." |
